Unstoppable!

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want . He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. Psalm 23:1-2

That verse reminds me of a hymn called "Shepherd of my soul" by Martin Nystrom. Here are a few lines of its lyrics: Shepherd of my soul, I give you full control,

wherever you may lead I will follow.

I have made the choice, to listen for your voice,

wherever you may lead I will go.

Hearing that song reminds me to stand firm on God's promises, to pay attention to His leading, to only move when He says so, and to praise Him in all situations. But in times and seasons of change we have an increased need for guidance, direction, encouragement, and peace. God promises to give us all those things and more through the power of The Holy Spirit. It is a great privilege to be a son or daughter of the Most High God!

You will hear your Teacher’s voice behind you. You will hear it whether you turn to the right or the left. It will say, “Here is the path I want you to take. So walk on it.” Isaiah 30:21 (NIRV)

We serve a God of new beginnings, and He is the alpha and omega (Revelation 1:8). His Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. But remember, when God leads us down paths that don't make sense to us, the path is still His and the plan is still His! When life doesn't make sense, in the end God will make everything work together for our good (even when we can't see it). Our Heavenly Father will never lead us to a place where His grace cannot sustain us!

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 2 Corinthians 4:7

As we launch into the New Year, we can prepare for any difficulty by keeping God's Word in our hearts and being steadfast in prayer. If 2025 has you worried, anxious, or fearful, focus on God's promises and His faithfulness. Reading His Word renews our minds, faith, and our trust in Him. No matter what comes our way this year, God is ready, willing, and able to help us, and He is powerfully working on our behalf.

Our God is unstoppable in every circumstance, so be sure to give Him 100% of the glory 100% of the time!
