God is Bigger

Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth, is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. 1 Chronicles 29:11

A few months ago, I remember watching the news and seeing the damage from Hurricane Helene. Many lives were drastically changed by that raging storm. We don't understand the reasons trials like that bring, but God’s hand is at work in the recovery and and the rebuild. In tragedies, we often see God bringing people together to help those who are hurting, looking beyond their own needs to help others. But Isn’t that what Jesus told us to do?

National programs like "Samaritan’s Purse", and local programs like "Love Inc." don't just offer physical, financial, and emotional support, they bring hurting people the hope of Jesus. The same God who created the heavens and earth offers His love and healing to the brokenhearted. No matter what you're going through, God sees your tears and He wants to bring you comfort. He renews our hopes and heals our bodies. Psalm 147:3 (CEV).

One day while reading my bible, His Word reminded just how big He is. I wanted to share this thought with my husband, so I grabbed some paper to write down my thoughts. I planned on writing "God is bigger than our problems", but as I stated writing, my pen ran out of ink before I wrote the word "than." I smiled as I realized God stopped me at "bigger." In other words, "God is bigger" period! Nothing too big for our God! No illness, financial need, or relationship problem is too big for Him, and He will use our trials to increase our faith! "...we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope," Romans 5:3-4 (ESV)

No matter what you're going through, and no matter how big your trial is; God is right beside you! He will help you through your biggest problem, because Our God is Bigger!
