Remembering Easter

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy, he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead… 1 Peter 1:3
Another glorious Easter season just passed. Not the chocolate bunnies and egg hunts, but the perfect lamb and resurrection life.
Our church witnessed a fresh outpouring of the Spirit drawing many people to Christ. If we were to ask each person about the challenges they're walking through, there would be different replies, but the same need – salvation. Jesus nailed to a cross isn't just a Bible story. The Son of the Father paid the sin of the world through the torn flesh (veil) of Jesus. It was the only way.
Easter reminds us that there is no “formula” to solve our human problems. Our problem isn’t our problem; it’s how we respond to the problem. First, acknowledge God’s presence, then allow Him to lead you on the right paths. When you choose trust, you choose peace. Jesus calls us to rest but we often wrestle instead. Disobedience bankrupts our hearts of God’s peace. Satan seduces us into sin, then condemns us for our choices. Do pray and believe God to answer. Just know that peace doesn’t come from the answer, but the One who does the answering. It’s never about understanding, it's about surrendering. Sometimes knowing more causes us to trust less.
Easter reminds us that the cross rescues us from sin and replaces our disillusioned mind with a disciplined mind. Jesus will always lead us in Truth while Satan leads us away from it. When trying to make wise choices, ask yourself, “Does this line up with God’s Word?” God knows your unknowns. Do we really believe He will show up? He guides you with His eye, directs you through His Word, and leads you by His Spirit.
Easter reminds us that God’s ways transcend ours. He will bend His ear to listen to our cries, but He will never bend His Truth to fit our thinking. Scripture teaches that when we ask God for wisdom, He gives it. Every challenge we face provides a faith opportunity. Your fix is not reliant on another person or different circumstances. Know that your weakness is not a hindrance but a channel for the power of God to flow.
Remembering Easter is remembering Jesus. It was,
• His nails for our freedom
• His blood for our forgiveness
• His obedience for our fullness
Be encouraged—the cross and the grave are still empty! Celebrate Easter every day. Our faithful Father brings life to every hopeless heart. Hallelujah!
