A Great Time To Worship God

Easter at CCM was filled with reminders of God's love and sacrifice through worship songs and the teaching of scripture. For as long as I can remember, every Easter I become more aware of how great and glorious God is. Honestly, as I thought about all that JESUS did for us, I thought my heart might burst from the joy and gratitude I felt! We celebrate Easter in spring, just as nature is coming back to life. This isn't a coincidence, spring is a great reminder that nature and the heavens are constantly declaring God's glory!
The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. Psalm 19:1-4 (NLT)
Church is great every weekend, but Easter is a special time to worship God and remember how much He loves us. It's a great time for our hearts be stirred, humbled, and filled with awe as we consider JESUS... He willingly exchanged His life for ours because He loves us! Easter is a great time to celebrate the people who have decided to follow Jesus. It's also a great time to reaffirm our commitment to pray for those who haven't yet surrendered their lives to Christ. God never gives up on anyone, neither should we!
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. Psalms 121:1-2
Don't view Easter as a special Sunday, see it as a special season. The weeks before and after Easter are a great time to humble ourselves in worship and gratitude as we reflect on God's grace, forgiveness, and mercy. It's a great time to remember that none of us can do anything without God, but we can all do the impossible with Him, in His mighty power. The Easter season is a great time to remember that Jesus is our ALL in ALL, our best source of help.
Don't just worship Jesus on Easter, worship and praise Him every day of the week!
