"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6
A life in Christ is based on truth, and truth reflects who Jesus is. False reports will vary, they can change at any time, but God's Word is unchangeable! As Christ followers, we are witnesses to the unchangeable qualities of God's Word. God's truth is -100% TRUE! Truth and honesty are great measures of integrity, and they are foundational for our walk with The Lord.
"Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12
As Christ followers, how do we ensure that our lives align with God's will? It doesn't matter if we are young or old, our conduct and our lives must reflect God's standard. The scriptures encourage us to walk worthy of the Lord in our thoughts, words, and deeds. Christ Followers must keep all aspects of their lives in check using the lens of God's unfailing Word. Remember, the Word of God gives us enlightenment and understanding (Psalm 119:130) and helps us navigate life God's way. We also have the Holy Spirit as our personal guide for every step of our path.
To the Jews who had believed Him, Jesus said, "if you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free". John 8:31-32
In this verse, Jesus reminds us that following Him means becoming His disciple. When we are Jesus' disciples, He frees us from everything that is holding us back, and God's power enables us to walk in His light. Jesus also commanded us to "hold to" His teaching, to live God pleasing lives, and to give all the glory to God. Church leaders must know the truth, teach the truth, and guard the truth; not giving room for false doctrines or unbiblical teaching.
...God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.” 2 Timothy 2:19
It can be a battle to choose God' s way over the world's way, but rest assured, God's Holy Spirit will empower and enable you to walk in truth with integrity. He has set you apart to show others the way!
