The Whole Truth

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:32

When we read through the entire Bible (from the Old Testament to the New Testament) we see Jesus from beginning to end. We see many prophetic references of Jesus coming in the Old Testament, and we see descriptions of His life, death, and resurrection in the New Testament.

When we read the entire Bible, we see stories from different people, different prophets, different apostles, yet many of them echo the same story. Many of them have very similar accounts and contain similar messages. But one thing that is fascinating is the span of time between those similar stories. Sometimes, it's thousands of years! How is it possible that so many people would have the same story decades apart? It’s not a coincidence, it's part of God's plan.

"but first I will tell you what is written in the Book of Truth." Daniel 10:21

The Bible is our basis of morality. It is truth, it is trustworthy, and it is a complete guide for successful living. God gave us the Bible as a gift to help us live a life that pleases Him. But there's more! He also gave us the Bible to limit the pain and suffering that come with a life filled with sin and pride, a life lived without Him.

Knowing truth is powerful, meaningful, and it is freeing. Knowing Jesus is powerful, meaningful, and it is freeing! To know Jesus, we must acknowledge the truth of the Bible and everything that is written in it.
