Overcoming Doubt

Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” Matthew 14:31

The other day, I was thinking about some of the things that keep us from telling others about Jesus. Is it hard for us to find the right words? Is it hard for us to overcome our fear? Is it hard for us to see past that potentially awkward moment we are in? We can't see the future, but what if that person we're afraid to talk to is destined to became someone who sits next to us in church?

Sometimes I get nervous when I pray in a crowd or speak to someone new about what the Bible says about life. I'm not always confident enough to share with everyone how the scriptures say we should live. Sometimes, my fear keeps me from saying anything at all... What a missed opportunity.

But Jesus tells us to have faith and trust Him. If we stumble, He will catch us and keep us upright. Remember, the Holy Spirit will give us the right words and the boldness to talk with anyone. Overcome your doubts! Ask Jesus to help you share the gospel and shine brightly for Him.

I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13
